Supreme Court Extended the Hearing of Rajiv Kumar Case
The hearing of Rajiv Kumar’s case was postponed in the Supreme Court. The case was postponed for two weeks by the apex court on Tuesday. The CBI (Central Intelligence Agency) approached the Supreme Court seeking interrogation of former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajiv Kumar in custody in Sardakand. The Supreme Court gave the order in the context of that case.
Incidentally, the case was heard two months ago. However, the hearing was not held at that time due to insufficient information and documentary complications. After that, the Supreme Court of the country ordered to postpone the hearing day. According to CBI sources, Rajiv Kumar has been accused of not cooperating in the Saradha case from the very beginning. At the same time, the court has been informed about the possibility of losing information, sources said. The detectives of the Central Investigation Agency want to interrogate Rajiv Kumar in custody to end the Saradha case.
Earlier, the investigating officers had searched several offices of Sardar and recovered several documents. At that time Rajiv Kumar was a member of the seating committee formed in the Sarada case. According to CBI sources, the former Kolkata police commissioner was aware of the activities of Saradha Karta Sudipta Sen. Detectives want to end the investigation by questioning him.
