Tiruttani is an electoral district of the Assembly / Vidhan Sabha in the Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. It belongs to the Arakkonam Lok Sabha constituency.
In the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly election, the constituency had a total of 2.74,818 registered voters.

Ponneri’s voter turnout in the pre-Assembly elections was 80.93 percent.
Winners and results of previous elections
In the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly election, All India PM Narasimhan Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) won the Ponneri seat. He obtained 93,045 votes, compared to 69,904 for his main rival AG Chidambaram of the Indian National Congress (INC).
In the 2011 elections, M Arun Subramanian of Desiya Murpokku Draviar Kazhagam (DMDK) had won Tiruttani’s seat by beating ESS Raman of the Indian National Congress (INC).
The Tiruttani Assembly constituency is expected to go to the polls in April or May 2021, as part of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections in 2021.
Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will be held to elect a total of 234 members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).
