On Monday, officials said, security forces raided a terrorist hideout in a village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. They also seized a large number of arms and ammunition.
Officials say that they found the hideout during a joint search by the army and police in the village of Noorkote.

They said they found two AK-47 assault rifles with two magazines and 63 rounds, a 223-bore AK-style gun with a handgrip, its two magazines and 20 rounds. They also found a Chinese pistol with a magazine and four rounds.
During the operation late on Sunday, no one was arrested, the officials said. The operation was based on a specific piece of information, they said.
