In the afternoon, BJP candidate Raju Banerjee was allegedly attacked. The Gerua Shibir (BJP) alleges that ‘grassroots miscreants started raining bricks on the Belgharia Bridge after noticing the BJP candidate’s car’. It is learned that the glass of Raju Bandopadhyay’s car was broken and he was injured in his right hand. Although the whole allegation was denied by the Trinamool (TMC).

Raju Banerjee told the media, “Madan Mitra has been spreading unrest in the Kamarhati polls since this morning.” He claimed that foreigners were being brought and attacks were being carried out in the area. The BJP candidate hinted that Madan Mitra, a Trinamool Congress candidate from Kamarhati Center, was behind the attack on him. However, the ruling party completely dismissed the allegations.

In the midst of such procrastination, Madan Mitra suddenly fell ill in the evening. He has also been given oxygen support due to shortness of breath.
