New Delhi, February 15: Activist and advocate Nikita Jacob, who was issued an arrest warrant without bail for her alleged role in preparing the toolkit, applied for advance bail from the Bombay High Court.

The application, while seeking protection from arrest for four weeks, also seeks provisional protection against any coercive action and an order to the Delhi Police to provide the copy of the FIR registered against him.

His defender, Abhishek Yende, said that the Delhi police had completed their search operation at Jacob’s home and also drew up a panchnama on February 11. She said that Jacobs had cooperated with the investigation and that she is unaware of the allegations against her. The request will go to a hearing on February 16.

Earlier, police told a court that the arrest of Disha Ravi, one of the editors of the toolkit used by Greta Thunberg, was the first in the case. Police said Disha allegedly edited the toolkit on February 3 and many others are involved in the matter.

The court sent Disha to five days in police custody. She was arrested on Saturday. Police are looking for two more suspects in the case. While raids are taking place in Mumbai and elsewhere, police are looking for Nikita and Shantanu, two other defendants in the case.

The 21-year-old activist was arrested in Bengaluru on Saturday and sent to remand for five days on Sunday by a Delhi court here.
