Tottenham ready to sign Dejan Kulusevski for £40m

Tottenham is ready to sign Dejan Kulusevski for £40m.

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly set to spend $55m (£40m) to bring Dejan Kulusevski to Spurs this year.

According to CBS Sports, Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is interested in a raid for Juventus talent.

However, this could have consequences regarding Spurs’ apparent interest in Dusan Vlahovic.

The outlet claims that Juve also wants the Fiorentina star, but must get rid of the players before submitting an offer in January.

And if Tottenham swoop in for Kulusevski, this could lead to Juve having the means to trigger a bid for Vlahovic.

Spurs have not ruled out signing the Serbian international, he added.

That said, Tottenham will surely not hesitate to make an offer for Kulusevski just to prevent Juve from making the move for Vlahovic.

Could Spurs land “great talent” in the January transfer window?

Kulusevski is a great talent who would bring a lot to Conte’s side.

He is a versatile player who can appear in central midfield, at No. 10, and on the wings.

The 21-year-old key traits include technique, physicality and generosity on the pitch.

Kulusevski even has the seal of quality of Cristiano Ronaldo, the legend of Portugal calling it “excellent” in 2020.

“He is a great talent,” Ronaldo told Juve’s website. “He will help us win and achieve incredible things.”

As well as Tottenham, North London rivals Arsenal are also eyeing Kulusevski.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Gunners have been following the Swedish international for more than three years.

Kulusevski has struggled for playing time this season, with just four Serie A starts under his belt.

In fact, 19 of his appearances for Juve in 2021-22 have come from the bench.
