Trinamool Seeks Action on Suvendu Adhikari for Saradha Scam: On Friday, TMC General Secretary Kunal Ghosh demanded the arrest of West Bengal opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari, claiming that the main Saradha scam suspect “Sudipto Sen” had claimed to have been blackmailed by Adhikari.
“In the prisoner’s appeal, Sudipto Sen, the owner of Saradha, alleged that BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari had blackmailed him and stolen money. We demand that Suvendu Adhikari be detained by CBI right now “Kunal Ghosh stated.
The “original conspirators” of the Sardha scam, according to Mr. Ghosh, are attempting to elude the law, and he added that Suvendu Adhikari “joined the BJP only to protect himself.”
“The Saradha fraud is the result of a significant conspiracy. The original scammers are attempting to remain undetected. Suvendu Adhikari joined the BJP only for self-defense “explained Mr. Ghosh.
Kunal Ghosh called Mukul Roy a “BJP leader” and demanded his arrest in the Saradha and Narada case.
The TMC spokesperson posted on Twitter, stating, “BJP leader Mukul Roy needs to be detained by the CBI and ED in the Saradha and Narada case. I already requested a joint interrogation with him in a letter I sent to them. He’s a powerful conspirator. He only employed various parties for his security. There is no reason to spare Mukul Roy.”
Following TMC’s overwhelming victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections, Mukul Roy joined the party in June last year after leaving the BJP. This has sparked a new feud within the party.
The Saradha Group of Companies is accused of defrauding investors out of 2,500 crores by promising better rates of return.
