In a collision of two double-decker buses today on the Purvanchal highway in Uttar Pradesh, eight people perished, and almost twenty were wounded. According to authorities, three persons have been sent to the Trauma Center in Lucknow for treatment since they are reportedly in severe condition.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, expressed sorrow and sent his condolences to the families of the accident victims.

The incident occurred about 30 kilometers from Lucknow, in the Barabanki area.
Both buses were traveling between Bihar and Delhi.
