Upgrade Crown of Sorrow In Destiny 2: Destiny2’s current Season of the Haunted version is now available. But, as usual, the grind of increasing your Power level goes on.
Destiny 2 now offers a Season-specific meta progression. This is the Season of the Haunted.
It involves equipping higher-level gear and upgrading the Crown of Sorrow. Let’s look at how you can upgrade the Crown of Sorrow within Destiny 2.
Destiny 2: Upgrading Crown of Sorrow
The Crown of Sorrow vendor is located at the H.E.L.M. destination. (If facing the central Vanguard Operations Table from where you warp into, it can also find to your left side of the ship).
This quest will guide you to the right. The wall is home to the Crown of Sorrow, a massive artifact (see below).
Veteran players will be familiar with what to expect here.
However, so that we’re all on the same page: upgrading the Crown of Sorrow in this Season’s Season is a way to earn passive bonuses throughout. Some of these can be very powerful and worth looking out for.
Spend Figments of Darkness to upgrade the Crown of Sorrow. This currency can earn throughout the Season in a variety of different ways.
Figments of darkness can be earned by completing seasonal challenges and quests. However, they can also come from ranking up in the Crown of Sorrow, reaching ranks 4, 10, and 16.
How to get Seasonal Quests and Seasonal Challenges
It is easy to get seasonal quests or challenges. Bound in Sorrow is the main story questline that you will need to complete to earn Figments of Darkness.
It’s easy to miss. As soon as Season of the Haunted begins, you will be prompted to complete an introductory mission.
You can check your log to see what challenges are available.
Challenges may change from week to week. However, many of the obstacles are easy enough. For example, in Sorrow Bound (this week’s first challenge), you will need to complete the Bound In Sorrow quest and defeat Scorned chieftains.
You will be able to increase your rank in the Crown of Sorrow by doing all the above and completing bounties. Each level you reach will bring you powerful rewards.
This will also allow your Guardian to keep their Power level in line with what content they will be dealing with.
