Vaccination Resume 62 Private Hospitals In Mumbai Today

With new stocks of COVID-19 vaccines available from the Mumbai civic body, the halted vaccination campaign will resume in 62 of the 71 designated private hospitals in the city as of April 12, municipal commissioner Iqbal said on Sunday. Singh Chahal.

In Mumbai, 49 civic and government-run institutions are designated as vaccination centers, while 71 private hospitals have the possibility to administer anti-Covid vaccines.

Around 40,000 to 50,000 people will receive the Covid vaccines every day in Mumbai.

The vaccination centers of the 71 private hospitals stopped working on April 10 and 11 due to vaccine shortages. However, the vaccination campaign continued in public and civic hospitals.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had announced that the exercise would resume in private hospitals after the civic body obtains an adequate stock of the doses.

“The BMC received 99,000 doses at the end of April 9. On April 10, 1,34,970 doses were received. The BMC received a total of 2,33,970 doses in the last two days. The civic body has disbursed some supplies to private hospitals. Vaccination will begin in 62 of the 71 private hospitals as of April 12, “the BMC said in a statement.
