Virat Kohli set THIS Rahul Dravid record: Indian Captain of the Test team Virat Kohli displayed his class during the first day of the Third Test against South Africa.

Many are praising the 79 he scored in the first innings against South Africa in the first innings of the Cape Town Test as among his finest scores in the last two years.

Kohli took the time to settle into his position and hit 50 in just 157 balls.

His second-lowest half-century time during Test cricket.

If Kohli had a person stay with him for an extended period, he would have been able to go over 100, which would have ended the long wait for the 71st world century.

As batters lost wickets in the opposite direction, Kohli opted to play aggressively and lost his wicket in the process.

India was bundled out at 223 for the loss of 223 wickets. Proteas have made 17 runs despite losing their captain, who was still stumped on the first day.

Kohli’s savvy game was the only highlight for India on the first day. The 79 he scored also helped him surpass India Head Coach Rahul Dravid’s mark.

Dravid has scored 624 runs in South Africa and was the second-highest run-actor for India.

Kohli was 14 runs short of breaking the record when he bats and then surpassed Dravid effortlessly with 79.

Indian cricket great Sachin Tendulkar is on the highest, with 1161 runs in 15 Tests.
