Calcutta: The BJP released its manifesto for the West Bengal elections on Sunday, promising to build a “Sonar Bangla” by providing employment, strengthening social security schemes and promising to approve the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Law at the first cabinet meeting. of the new government.

Presenting the “Sonar Bangla Sankalpa Patra” at EZCC in Salt Lake, Union Interior Minister Amit Shah said that BJP will ensure the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat health care plan and PM-Kisan program in the state, in addition to giving at least one job per family. .

Making sure to provide arrears of 18,000 rupees to 75 lakh from state farmers under PM-Kisan, the BJP promised 10,000 rupees per year for them, if they voted for power, with 6,000 rupees contributed by the Center and the rest by the state.

The party also announced an intervention fund of Rs 5,000 million to ensure the economic security of farmers, as well as accident insurance worth Rs 3 lakhs for small farmers and fishermen.

In the manifesto, the party promised a Sonar Bangla fund worth 11 billion rupees to promote art, literature, and other similar sectors, and a Tagore Prize in the vein of the Nobel Prize.

The BJP also promised implementation of the seventh salary commission for state government employees and a 30 percent reserve for women in state government positions.

Promising to act tough against infiltration, the BJP promised “the strictest border security.”

The party also promised free education from KG to PG for all women and free rides for them on public transport.

He promised to build new AIIMS in the North Bengal, Jungle Mahal, and Sunderban regions, as well as toilets and drinking water for all families.

Shah said that when the BJP forms the government in West Bengal, people will not have to go to court for organizing Durga Puja and Saraswati Puja.

In the poll manifesto, the party also promised an Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Fund of Rs 20 billion for the infrastructure development of schools and five universities on a par with the IITs and IIMs.

The party said that to transform Kolkata into an international city, it will establish a Kolkata Development Fund worth Rs 22 billion and also ensure that the metropolis becomes a UNESCO World Heritage city.

“We have decided that we will approve the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act at the first cabinet meeting, in addition to approving the Ayushman Bharat scheme for the benefit of the poor,” Shah said.

The party further promised that each refugee family will receive 10,000 rupees per year for five years through direct benefit transfer (DBT).

Shah said his party would work to build a safe Bengal, a “Bengal free from appeasement” and a state free from infiltrations if the power is voted on.

“We will bring back the Bengal that made the whole nation proud,” he said.

“You have given Congress time, more than 30 years for the Communists and ten years for TMC. Give us five years to build a Sonar Bangla,” he said, urging people to vote for the BJP.
