Renuka Chowdhury, a senior member of the Congress Party, slammed the government of K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday. She said the government didn’t do enough to stop the son of a councilor from the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi from being gang-raped.
“The son of a TRS council member is being held by the police in a gang-rape case. In what ways is the TRS government taking care of this issue? It’s because they haven’t done anything. They don’t know what to do.”

Chief Minister Rao, better known as KCR, was asked by Ms. Chowdhury to comment on the case.
Slamming the minister’s silence on the issue, she said: “I don’t understand why he hasn’t said anything.” “What is KTR up to? Why isn’t it a crime for him to tweet about everything? I want the girl to be protected because there could be a danger to her life if she helps find the person who did this.”
An accusation against the son of a TRS council member who lives near Kodad is that he raped a woman. In the Suryapet district of Telangana, a 20-year-old woman was allegedly raped by two men for three days, police say. One of them is the son of a local TRS politician. The woman was raped after she was given a drink with sedatives, police said.
In Telangana, Ms. Chowdhury said that Congress workers are being falsely accused of rape to hurt the party.
“People in the state who work for Congress have been accused of crimes that aren’t true. Rowdy papers have been filed against them even though the court told them to stop “She said ANI that.
“People from the minority group and people who care about human rights have been told about what happened. There are a lot of fights going on in our state, and the Goondaism in the name of uniform and power ministers is common “She also said.
