The debutants Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, faced off in the first encounter of the IPL 2022 season. 

Mohammed Shami stole the show with his brilliance. But, while the entire cricketing world praised the Indian seamer’s performance, Kendra Lust, a pornstar from the United States, too expressed her gratitude.

KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, and Manish Pandey were among the wickets taken by Shami with the new ball. Shami enthralled the fans with his ‘Test match’ line and length. 

It caused problems for the Lucknow batsmen. But, whether it was from the commentators, Shami’s teammates, or the thousands of fans watching live IPL action from their homes, the veteran bowler received a lot of praise.

Apart from the cricketers’ tweets, Kendra Lust’s tweet attracted the most attention on social media. Many people were taken aback when they saw the American congratulating Shami on his performance in the match.

Kendra tweeted, “Absolutely wonderful performance by @mdshami11.”

Shami was rightfully chosen man of the match for his statistics of 3 for 25 in 4 overs. In terms of his performance, the senior India bowler stated that his goal was to bowl a Test-match line and not give the batters much room.

“I was nicely warmed up. I wanted to get off to a strong start in the first match, so I tried to bowl a Test-match line and length. When the ball comes flying out of your hand.. (smiles). This seam position has taken a lot of time and effort. People believe it was given to them by God, but this is not the case. I try to come around the wicket to a lefty and make that angle because it’s the most inconvenient for them. That’s all I’m trying to do. Hardik asked whether I wanted a fourth consecutive over, but I advised him to hold off,” he stated.

Gujarat Titans won by 5 wickets against fellow newcomers Lucknow Super Giants, making it a memorable victory.
