WWE Raw Results: Big Show Interrupts Randy Orton’s ‘Best Wrestler of All Time’ Ceremony, Asuka Retains Title

WWE RAW started with Drew McIntyre being challenged by Dolph Ziggler for additional rules in the championship on Monday night. In particular, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode officially moved to RAW as part of the exchange that sent AJ Styles to SmackDown. Dolph continued on how he chose Drew at the lowest point of his career and therefore Drew owed Dolph a title shot.

Among other highlights on Monday night, The Big Show interrupted Randy Orton and Ric Flair’s “Best Wrestler of All Time” ceremony after Edge delivered a promotion promising to punish Randy Orton in the future.

Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair fought: Jax came to the ring, sat in a chair, and said “it must be Monday” because Charlotte Flair received a title shot despite her issues with Asuka in recent weeks. However, Nia Jax was interrupted by R-Truth, who was kicked out by Akira Tozawa and her ninjas, and Charlotte Flair, who sparked a fight with Jax that seemed to leave The Queen with an arm injury prior to their match for the title with Asuka.

Asuka defeats Charlotte Flair by submission to retain the title: Charlotte Flair fought a valiant battle despite having an injured left arm but was eventually caught in Asuka’s lock. The Queen was forced to tap when Asuka retained the WWE Raw title.

Big Show faced Randy Orton and Ric Flair: Big Show went on to ruin Randy Orton’s Ric Flair nomination as ‘The Best Wrestler of All Time’. Show said Orton would pay for what he did to his friends. Show called Orton a parasite and said he was now feeding on Flair, who is now someone he “used to respect.”

Rey Mysterio faced Seth Rollins: Rey told Dominick that one of the most terrifying things for a father is not being able to communicate with his son, as was the case last week. Rey said he was proud that Dominick came out of the three-on-one situation when he faced Seth Rollins.
