Xbox website receives original Xbox makeover to celebrate 20th anniversary

Xbox website receives original Xbox makeover to celebrate 20th anniversary.

The Xbox website has once again received a makeover to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary. After a makeover from the Xbox 360 era, this new update makes the page look like something out of the original Xbox days.

As you can see in the screenshot below, the cover of Xbox.com now includes the original Xbox logo and images.

The good thing about this is that the website remains fully functional as well. The 20th-anniversary logo is also clearly displayed on the recently updated website to mark the occasion.

This is all part of Microsoft’s ongoing Xbox celebration to mark the brand’s 20th anniversary. The original Xbox and Halo: Combat Evolved were released on November 15, 2001, and on the same day, Microsoft will host a video stream to further celebrate the milestone (but don’t expect any new game announcements).

In addition to updating the website, Microsoft is releasing a special edition Xbox controller and headsets with the 20-year Xbox theme, while a new Halo-branded Xbox Series X console is on the way.

Outside of the anniversary, Microsoft has a new piece of hardware coming this year: a mini-fridge. The Xbox mini-fridge, which plays on the joke that the Series X looks like a fridge, launches this year for $ 100. Pre-orders opened on October 19.
