BJP has done a great job yet again in the recently concluded Assembly Elections, winning four of the five states: Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Goa and with Punjab winning to the Aam Aadmi Party.
Yogi Adityanath has been able to silence critics who have been accusing him and his party of politicizing in a divisive manner and the incompetence in handling the Covid-19 crisis, particularly that second phase.
Holi was indeed a surprise and is a massive win for Yogi and BJP by winning an enormous majority during the 2022 UP Assembly polls, where BJP+ has won 273 seats. They and their CM defeated anti-incumbency to keep this hot seat.

In his first Assembly elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came out with an overwhelming 1,03,390 votes in the Gorakhpur Urban constituency.
He defeated Samajwadi Party candidate Subhawati Upendra Dutt Shukla.
It marks the very first-time Adityanath was elected as an MLA.
In the past, he was Chief Minister for the very first time following having been selected as a member of the Legislative Council.
Before he was sworn in as UP, the chief minister of the state in 2017, Adityanath served as Gorakhpur MLA for five straight years from 1998 until 2017.
At the age of 26, Adityanath was the youngest Lok Sabha MP.
Following BJP elected him head of the government of UP following his victory in the elections of 2017, Yogi kept 36 ministries under his direct supervision, including Home, Economics and Statistics, Sainik Welfare, Home Guard, Personnel, and appointment, and Civil Defence.
He is also Head Priest of Gorakhnath Math, a Hindu temple located in Gorakhpur.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has frequently endorsed his work as UP the chief minister.
PM Modi came up with a brand new slogan that reads “UP plus Yogi bahut hai upyogi” (UP plus Yogi is exceptionally beneficial).
The Gorakhpur Sadar seat had also been a stronghold of the BJP that has not been lost by the party from 1967 until the time of Jan Sangh.
Yogi Adityanath is the first CM who has returned to power after Uttarakhand was split from Uttar Pradesh.

“I am thankful to the people for making us win with a majority. Under PM Modi’s leadership we will be forming governments in UP, Goa, Manipur, and Uttarakhand,” the Chief Minister added.
