Yogi Govt Imposed Night Curfew in Uttar Pradesh from December 25 (11 pm to 5 am). 

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to institute the night curfew beginning December 25. The night curfew will run between 11 pm until 5 am in the early morning. 

In addition, over 200 guests cannot gather for wedding ceremonies.

The decision has been made about the growing incidences of Omicron infection across the country.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has commanded District magistrates to ensure an eye on the areas that fall under their jurisdiction.

They also need to ensure that Covid procedures are strictly followed throughout the Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.

Although the state government hasn’t set any limits on gatherings or movements to date, a thorough check of masks, social distancing, and other items in cinema halls, malls, cafes, hotels, and even markets are expected to be carried out in the coming days.

The chief minister stressed the necessity of examining all travelers entering the state through airports and train stations to determine if Omicron infects them. 

The chief minister also instructed officials to take proper measures at all private and public hospitals to comply with the latest guidelines issued by the central government for Covid.

The chief minister added that the five-fold approach of tracing and testing, treatments, Covid appropriate behaviors, and vaccination should be implemented with incredible determination.

The government is betting on vaccination to cope with another influx of coronavirus cases.

The chief minister has issued instructions to boost and promote vaccinations.

India reported 122 cases of the Omicron coronavirus variant in just 24 hours, the most to date, bringing the total number of cases in the country up to 358 cases, the majority of which have recovered or have migrated according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday.

The 358 cases of Omicron Covid variants were identified in the 17 union territory states as it was revealed. 

Maharashtra has the most incidents that carry the Omicron variant closely followed by Delhi with 67 cases, Telangana 38 Tamil Nadu 34, Karnataka 31, and Gujarat 30.
