Yuzvendra Chahal on Virat Kohli: "Problem Is We Just Think Of His 100s"

Yuzvendra Chahal and Virat Kohli have played a lot of cricket together. In addition to their time playing for India together, Chahal spent eight years with Royal Challengers Bangalore until being acquired by Rajasthan Royals for the most recent Indian Premier League season.

The great leg-spinner believes that Kohli has made some crucial contributions throughout the period even though he has been in the spotlight for a prolonged lean patch and a run of three years without an international century.

“If there is a player with a 50+ average in T20Is, he has won two T20 World Cups’ Man of the Tournament award and has 70 hundreds in all competitions. You can only see his average across all forms, and because of the standards he has established, we only focus on his 100s and ignore the vital contributions of 60–70 “In a conversation with Sports Yaari, Chahal added.

He said, “I’m telling you no bowler wants to bowl to him if he’s at the crease and has 15-20 runs behind him.

Chahal also discussed playing with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as captains.

“Under several captains, my function has remained constant; I am always used as a wicket-taking bowler. They are all the same to me. As a bowler, I have been granted the liberty. They consistently favour what I want to accomplish. On occasion, Rohit bhaiya would question, “In this circumstance, what will you do?” You know that you can’t relax when bowling in any over “said Chahal.
