Zelensky is thankful to US for new $800M military aid for Ukraine.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to the United States for a new batch of military funding worth $800 million.

In his daily late-night address to the nation, Zelensky expressed gratitude for the presidents of Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia’s visit on Wednesday (April 13, 2022).

“Those who did not hesitate to supply us weaponry, those who did not doubt whether to impose sanctions,” he continued, “have aided us from the first day.”

Zelensky said he spoke with US President Joe Biden about the latest arms shipment, stronger penalties against Russia, and efforts to bring Russian soldiers who committed war crimes in Ukraine to account.

Zelensky also stated that efforts to clear tens of thousands of unexploded shells, explosives, and tripwires left behind by the fleeing Russians in northern Ukraine were still underway.

He advised individuals returning to their homes in those towns to be cautious of any strange objects and report them to the authorities.
