3 People injured after taxi jumps curb in New York City.
According to authorities, three individuals were gravely hurt in New York City’s Flatiron neighborhood on Monday afternoon when a taxi cab drove off the road and leaped the curb. Several more were injured in less severe ways.
The New York Police Department and the New York City Fire Department responded to reports of an accident near 29th Street and Broadway at 1 p.m.
An SUV yellow taxi is parked near the front of the building in photos and video recordings.
Officials said it hit a bagel cafe where several customers were sitting on the sidewalk in front of the property in the outside dining area.

The precise reason for the tragedy is still being investigated. But NYPD Deputy Chief John Chell confirmed that the cab hit a bicycle while turning left into Broadway.
The cab then veered to the left side of the road, driving onto the sidewalk and colliding with two ladies who were “pressed against the wall.”
“A fantastic scenario occurred as a result of this. A group of 15 to 20 New Yorkers tried to rob these ladies of their taxi, “Chell said.
The mishap looked to be an accident, he added, but the inquiry is still ongoing.
After the car drove into the shop and injured many victims, photos on social media seemed to show FDNY and NYPD workers loading patients into ambulances.
Six persons, including the taxi driver, were sent to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan.
According to the NYPD, three victims suffered serious and possibly life-threatening injuries, while three others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
