A 5-Star Hotel Transform Covid Care Centre In Delhi for High Court Judges and Officers.

A five-star hotel has been selected as a COVID-19 care center for judges and judicial officers of the Delhi High Court and their families. One hundred rooms at the Ashoka Hotel in central Delhi have been reserved for this purpose, Chanakyapuri Subdivisional Magistrate Geeta Grover said in an order.

Primus Hospital will manage Covid care services at the five-star hotel, according to the order.

“The disposal of biomedical waste will be the responsibility of the hospital. The hotel staff will receive all protective equipment and appropriate basic training. The ambulance for the transfer facilities will be provided by the Primus Hospital,” the order said.

“For any shortage of hotel staff, it will be provided by the hospital. All services, including rooms, cleaning, disinfection, and food for patients, etc. will be provided by the hotel,” he said.

“The charges will be collected by the hospital and the hospital will make the payment to the hotel. Primus Hospital may accommodate its doctors, nurses, and other paramedical personnel at its own expense after mutually deciding the rates,” the order said.

Covid cases have increased in Delhi and across the country at an alarming rate. Hospitals in the national capital have been searching for medical oxygen, which Covid patients need, and have sent emergency messages on social media. The matter has also been heard in the Delhi High Court.

Delhi on Monday reported its highest number of Covid deaths in a single day with 380 deaths. More than 20,000 new cases were reported during the same period.

The increase in Covid cases in recent weeks has led to what is now called a second deadlier wave of the pandemic. Social media is full of stories of desperate people trying to find oxygen or a hospital bed for their friends and family.

This time, more and more people are complaining of shortness of breath, which needs oxygen. However, the supply of oxygen has been severely limited due to the sudden increase in demand in cities and towns. Only now is the center operating “Oxygen Express” trains that transport tanker trucks to the states most affected by Covid.
