A car was hit by a pillar and overturned in Salt Lake: 4 people were injured, including the driver.

Kolkata: A car rolled over in Salt Lake’s Sector Five. Four people, including the driver, were seriously injured.

According to police sources, the vehicle was heading towards the airport from Chingrighata at around 7.45 am. It flipped over when it hit the Metro pillar in Sector Five.

Traffic police personnel rescued the driver and four other people and took them to Bidhannagar Subdivisional Hospital.

The initial investigation estimated that the accident was due to high speed.

A few days ago, a cyclist was killed again in Kolkata at night. The accident occurred at the Sampriti flyover in Maheshtala around 11:30 pm on September 10.

When Bajaj was taken to the ESI hospital, the doctors pronounced him dead. Sudip Mandal, 23, is a resident of the Behala Pornshree Thana area.

Earlier this month, a police officer was injured in a reckless collision while on duty.

The accident took place near the Metropolitan on the EM Bypass around 5:30 am that day. The reckless car collided with the Combat Force policeman’s bicycle while driving from Salt Lake to Science City.

Although the police officer was slightly injured, the driver of the vehicle was seriously injured.

He was admitted to a private hospital. Police from Pragati Maidan Police Station arrested two passengers from the reckless vehicle.
