Hardik Patel, who left the Congress last week, announced his transfer to the BJP on Twitter this morning, saying he is about to “open a new chapter” and serve as a “little soldier” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
“I’m about to embark on a new chapter filled with national, regional, and societal sentiments. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, I shall serve as a tiny soldier in the vast effort of national duty, “In a Hindi tweet, he stated.
News organization Mr Patel afterwards attended a pooja, according to ANI.
According to NDTV, Hardik Patel, who rose to prominence in politics after leading the Patidar community’s movement for quota, would join the BJP today.
The Gujarat politician, who is 28 years old, joined the Congress in 2019. He resigned earlier this month after giving Sonia Gandhi a scathing resignation letter.

He criticized Rahul Gandhi in the letter, claiming that “high leaders” were distracted by their phones and Gujarat Congress leaders were more concerned with making chicken sandwiches for them.
Hardik Patel has denied joining the BJP, but his support for the party and its leadership tells a different picture.
Soon after leaving the Congress, he ended speculation by stating that he “is not in the BJP yet” and had not decided whether to join the BJP or the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
He also claimed that he had “squandered” three years in Congress.
“I am not in the BJP yet and have not decided to join,” Hardik Patel told reporters. Still, he also praised the party on several issues, including the Ayodhya judgement and the repeal of Article 370, which granted Jammu and Kashmir special status.
According to NDTV, BJP insiders said Hardik Patel would join the party shortly.
According to reports, he has been in negotiations with the BJP for two months.
Mr Patel’s tweet from December, in which he slammed the BJP for its “dirty politics,” exemplifies the six-month shift.
Mr Patel had stated at the time, paying tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his death anniversary, “Sardar Patel aimed to give farmers more power. Every member of the Congress would try to realize this ambition, fighting the BJP’s and RSS’s dirty politics, “He had declared at the time.
