In honor of Guru Ravidas’s anniversary, On Wednesday, Indian Home Minister Amit Shah said Guru Ravidas was devoted to uniting society through the same rights and equal justice to all people.
In a tweet on the platform, Mr. Shah declared, “The life of Sant Ravidas Ji was devoted to bringing people together through equality and justice to everyone. I bow to his feet to honor the saintly saint Shri Ravidas Ji as a symbol of peace and harmony on the day of his birth.”

“He demonstrated the way to humanity’s welfare through awakening the spiritual consciousness of the world through his ideas and works. His message of equality, unity, and karma primacy will forever be our guide,” senior BJP leader tweeted.
The Home Minister further stated that the Centre is continuously working to improve living standards by having every community part of development under the direction of Prime Secretary Narendra Modi.
“Under the direction of @narendramodiji, this government has been continuously working to improve living standards by engaging every sector in the process of developing and implementing the visions from Sant Ravidas Ji,” Mr. Shah tweeted.
Prime Minister Modi will also be visiting The Guru Ramadas Vishram Dham temple located in Delhi’s Karol Bagh today.
Sant Ravidas belonged to the Bhakti movement from the 15th-16th century.
He is regarded to be the originator of the 21st-century Ravidassia religion.
His hymns and chants have been mentioned inside the Guru Granth Sahib.
Ravidas Jayanti takes place on Magh Purnima, which is the day of the full moon in the Magh month according to the Hindu calendar.
