Today, Amit Shah will release his BJP’s manifesto to contest the UP Assembly polls. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to announce the Bharatiya Janata Party’s manifesto to the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls on Tuesday (February 8, 2022) in Lucknow.

The BJP’s manifesto “Lok Kalyan Skalp Patra’ was delayed as a tribute to the famous singer Lata Mangeshkar who passed away due to multi-organ failure on Sunday, at the age of 92.

“The Union Minister for Home and Cooperation, Amit Shah, will release the BJP’s ‘Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra’ on February 8, 2022, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh,” the party announced in an announcement.

According to reports, The manifesto of the BJP may address issues of nationalism, development of good governance, and the development of Kashi Mathura.

It is important to note that voting within Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases, on February 10, 14, 20 23 27, March 3, and 7. The count of the votes will begin on March 10.

Before the 2017 Assembly elections, the saffron-colored party was able to win a massive victory by winning 312 Assembly seats. 

The party had secured a 39.67 percent vote share in the election for the 403 members in the Assembly. 

On the other hand, Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party (SP) had won 47 seats. 

In comparison, Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had secured 19 seats while Congress could win just seven seats.
