Andhra Pradesh Lifts Night Curfew

Since the rate of COVID-19 positivity and the daily number of infections decreased, the Andhra Pradesh government lifted the curfew at night.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attended an update meeting on COVID-19’s situation on Monday.

In the meeting of review, The Chief Minister also stated that COVID-19-related precautions should always be observed, particularly when in commercial and public spaces, by wearing masks.

He urged authorities to keep conducting the study of fevers and requested that they perform tests on those who exhibit symptoms. In addition, he emphasized getting 100% vaccination against COVID-19 throughout the state.

Concerning the COVID-19 outbreak, the authorities declared that the disease had decreased slowly, and 794 patients were treated in hospitals.

In comparison, the number of positive cases across the state has dropped to 18,929 patients, 0.82 percent of active COVID-19 cases.

The positivity rate has decreased to 3.29 percent, down from 17.07 percent, and there were no cases in nearly 9581 village/wards’ secretariats.

In vaccination, officials have stated that 3,9083,148 people were given two vaccine doses, and 39,042,927 received one dose.

The goal for the dosage that will be used as a precautionary measure is 15,02,841; so far, 11,84,608 people have received vaccinations.

Officials have informed us that 96.7 percent of vaccinations have been completed in the over 45 age group. Similarly, 90.07 percent of vaccinations were administered to people 18-44 years of age.

For adolescents aged between 15-18, 24.41 lakh have been given one dose of vaccine, and 12.48 thousand have received a second dose of the vaccine.

Concerning staff recruitments, the Chief Minister instructed the authorities to finish all recruitments for the Medical and Health Department at the earliest possible time, ensuring that all hospitals have the right staff with no vacancies.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to segregate medical and administrative duties in hospitals and delegate administrative duties to individuals with experience in this field.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister announced the possibility of providing special incentives for specialists and doctors who work in the tribal regions.

In this light, officials announced that 50 percent of the basic salary could be offered as a reward to specialist doctors.

Similarly, 30 percent of their basic salary could be offered as an incentive to doctors.

Vice Chief Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas (Nani), Director-General Dr. Sameer Sharma, the Principal Secretary for Health Department Anil Kumar Singhal and the Principal Secretary for Health Department (Covid Management and Vaccination) Muddada Ravichandra, Covid Task Force Committee Chairman MT Krishnababu, and many others were also present.
