Authorities said an Army captain and a junior commissioned officer died in an accidental grenade burst along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Monday.
An Army PRO stated that the Army men were on duty when the incident occurred late on Sunday night in the Mendhar area of Poonch.

He said a chopper instantly transported the Army captain and the JCO to Udhampur for medical attention. They died away from their injuries while receiving treatment.
