The political scene of poll-bound Punjab was heated as Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi criticized Aam Aadmi’s chief ministerial nominee Bhagwant Mann as a “drunkard and an illiterate individual.”

“Bhagwant Mann is a drunk and illiterate man. He completed his 12th class in three years. What is the best way to hand over the control of Punjab to someone like him?” Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi told an audience in Bathinda on Wednesday.
