Biden met George Floyd’s family on his first death anniversary.
On May 25, 2020, George Floyd, a young black man, died of suffocation under the knee pressure of a white police officer. On his first death anniversary on Tuesday, the White House is determined to heal the wounds of discrimination. To that end, Floyd’s family met with US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
After the meeting, George’s brother Philonis Floyd said: “We had a great meeting with Mr. President. He (Biden) is a sincere man. He spoke from the heart. We thank everyone for what is happening. We want the George Floyd Police Act to become law soon. If we can legislate to protect eagles, we can legislate to ensure the safety of blacks.”
Meanwhile, Gianna, the seven-year-old daughter of George Floyd, had an affair with Biden at the White House. Police officer Derek Shavin has been jailed for killing Floyd.
But the incidents of black harassment on the streets of different cities in America have not decreased in that sense. The ‘Black Lives Matter’ activists have taken to the streets demanding stricter laws to curb such racism.
