Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, said on Thursday that he would see Sonia Gandhi, the interim president of the Congress, once she returns to India from Italy.
Nitish Kumar was in Delhi to promote “Opposition unity” ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
After the passing of her mother, Paola Maino, on August 27, Sonia Gandhi is now in Italy.
“I’ll visit Delhi once Sonia Gandhi Ji is back in the nation to see her. During my recent trip to Delhi, I hold met with several opposition leaders “said Mr. Kumar.
Mr. Kumar, who was in Delhi on Monday, is now back in Bihar. The Bihar Chief Minister met with representatives of many opposition groups during his visit to Delhi, including Rahul Gandhi of the Congress, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party, Sitaram Yechury of the CPM, and Arvind Kejriwal of the Delhi government.

In Delhi, he also spoke with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders and Indian National Lok Dal, Om Prakash Chautala, and Sharad Yadav.
“It is important that the Opposition parties get together. Nitish Kumar is the best face of the opposition “Sharad Yadav stated.
Following the dissolution of his party’s partnership with the BJP in August and the formation of the Bihar government with the RJD, Mr. Kumar paid a visit to Delhi.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao traveled to Bihar and spoke with Nitish Kumar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav to bring the opposition together.
