BJP’s Big Meet In Hyderabad, KCR Mulls Counter-Strategy: Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, will witness two significant displays of force today. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at the BJP’s two-national executive meeting, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the state’s governing party, has organized a demonstration in favour of Yashwant Sinha, the opposition’s nominee for president.
Just a few hours before the Prime Minister arrives at the same airport, Yashwant Sinha will be welcomed by the TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at the Begumpet airport.
After that, Mr Sinha and K. Chandrashekar Rao will lead a bike ride from the airport to Jal Vihar, where a gathering in favour of Mr Sinha’s candidacy has been scheduled.
AIMIM and Congress leaders will also be seen individually by Yashwant Sinha to solicit their support for the July 18 presidential elections.
A poster war has broken out on the city’s streets. While the BJP displayed cutouts and banners highlighting the accomplishments of the national government, the TRS displayed posters of KCR and Yashwant Sinha.
BJP national president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers of 19 states, and other prominent BJP officials will attend the two-day BJP national executive conference, the party’s primary decision-making body’s first physical gathering outside the nation’s capital in five years.
The Prime Minister will give a speech to the general people during a rally on Sunday in Hyderabad at the Parade grounds.
