Britney Spears Win the Conservatorship Battle Against Her Father

Britney Spears Win the Conservatorship Battle Against Her Father.

Los Angeles: Britney Spears‘ father, Britney, was removed Wednesday by a Los Angeles judge from his controversial role of guardian to his daughter.

However, it ended a long and bitter legal battle for the pop star.

Judge Brenda Penny suspended Jamie Spears immediately and replaced them by a temporary conservator “in his best interests.”

The hearing to end the guardianship completely is scheduled for the beginning of next year.

Penny stated that Mr. Spears was ordered to hand over all conservatorship assets.

Spears’ father controlled her life for 13 years under a controversial legal arrangement that the US singer, 39, called “abusive” by her lawyers and demanded to be scrapped.

Wednesday’s decision came after years of campaigning the appearance in the last week two powerful documentaries. It contains allegations that Jamie Spears had bugged his daughter by making phone calls.

Several supporters gathered in front of a Los Angeles courtroom to protest the hearing. Many were carrying signs such as “Jail Jamie” or “Free Britney,” which her supporters have widely shared via social media.

After Mathew Rosengart, Spears’ lawyer, filed a motion to remove her father, the court ruled in Spears’ favor.

The petition states that “every day he is a conservator — every day, every hour — is one in which he causes his daughter pain and anguish.”

These claims were apparently bolstered by a Friday New York Times documentary that claimed Jamie Spears installed remote surveillance devices in his daughter’s bedroom to record their conversations.

“It reminded of someone that was in prison,” said a former employee at a security firm to the “Controlling Britney Spears” filmmakers.

Lawyers for the pop star stated this week that the Times’ allegations against her father were “horrifying” and “unconscionable invading of his adult daughter’s privacy.”

Jamie Spears claims that he conducted no illegal surveillance.

Another documentary, Netflix’s “Britney Vs Spears,” was released Tuesday.

It claims that the singer tried twice to hire her lawyer during the early years of conservatorship but was rejected.

Spears finally appointed Rosengart as her lawyer in July. Last month, her father filed a petition to end the conservatorship.

Spears’ attorneys alleged that her father tried to defer the end of guardianship to benefit his financial gain.

The petition claims that his efforts are “subterfuges, designed to avoid being suspended and its consequence, including the possibility of disgorgement or rejection of outstanding legal costs.”

Disgorgement is a legal term that refers to the repayment of ill-gotten gain.

Fans and representatives of Spears have long accused her father and her father of making money from guardianship.

It was established after a very public 2007 incident. The star with the beard attacked a paparazzo at a gas station.

Jamie Spears, however, has voiced his disapproval at the choice of his daughter for a temporary conservator.

According to US media reports, he claimed that John Zabel, a certified public accountant, lacks the experience necessary.
