Brooke Henderson wins Evian Championship 2022.
By making an 8-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to win the Evian Championship by one shot on Sunday at Evian-les-Bains, France, Brooke Henderson won her second major championship.
After shooting an even-par 71 on Sunday and finishing the tournament at 17-under par 267, Henderson, 24, was showered with champagne on the 18th green.
Being a two-time major winner is an incredible feeling, according to Henderson. “It’s simply great, and it’s going to be very nice when we can all celebrate together,” Henderson said of his support system, which includes his coach, his father, his mother, and, of course, Brit (Henderson, her sister, and caddy).

Sophia Schubert (68), who was seeking to become the first LPGA Tour rookie to win a major since Thailand’s Patty Tavatanakit won the 2021 Chevron Championship, ended one shot behind Henderson.
The win, Henderson’s 12th on the LPGA Tour and first major since the 2016 Women’s PGA Championship, brought her $1 million. She is also the first golfer from Canada, male or female, to win multiple major championships.
With a bogey on the first hole and a double-bogey on the sixth, Henderson got off to a slow start on Sunday.
However, she recovered by making a birdie on the seventh hole and from a bogey on the eleventh to make birdies on three of her last five holes.
In keeping with the adage that major championships are decided on Sunday’s back nine, Henderson remarked, “I just tried to retain that frame of mind and knew I was still in it if I could have a strong back.” I was able to score a couple of birdies, which was beautiful. Making that birdie on hole 18 certainly makes it much more likable.
