Today, a local court ordered gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, the key suspect in the murder of musician Sidhu Moose Wala, to be held in Punjab Police custody for seven days. Punjab police are now attempting to piece together the events surrounding the high-profile murder case that rocked the province.
After Punjab Police obtained his arrest and transit remand, the gangster was brought before a court in Mansa early today. He is the main conspirator in the brutal murder of Moose Wala last month, Punjab police informed a Delhi court yesterday.
Anmol Rattan Sidhu, Punjab Advocate General, informed the court that the state would take “all responsibility” for the gangster’s safety.
“There will be around 50 Punjab Police officers, two bulletproof cars, and 12 vehicles on the road to clear the path. Every path would be videotaped. “At Patiala House Court in Delhi, the Punjab government counsel informed the duty magistrate.

Mr. Sidhu said that the Supreme Court’s directives would be obeyed in such circumstances.
After his incarceration with Delhi Police in an Arms Act case concluded, Bishnoi was brought before Patiala House Court in Delhi. He is being held in Tihar Jail on several charges.
Bishnoi’s lawyer, Vishal Chopra, contested the Punjab Police motion, claiming that if transit remand is granted, he may be “eliminated.” He claimed that virtual questioning is possible.
“We are just challenging his remand to Punjab Police for physical transit. If necessary, they may detain him in the matter, but only in Delhi, “According to the council.
On May 29, Moose Wala was shot and killed in Jawahar Ke village in Punjab’s Mansa district.
The apprehended suspect told Punjab Police on Tuesday that Lawrence Bishnoi was responsible for the murder. “To revenge the assassination of Vikramjeet Singh alias Vicky Middukhera, in which there was an alleged participation of Shagundeep Singh, manager of Shubhdeep Singh (Sidhu Moose Wala), who is currently absconding,” Punjab Police said.
“Delhi Police have also questioned Bishnoi and have claimed categorically that he is the primary conspirator,” Punjab Police added.
