Singapore: Singapore registered 7,859 new COVID-19 cases, with 7,733 domestic and 126 imported infections.
This was the lowest number of cases in a single day since February 7.
On Sunday, four more deaths were recorded, bringing the number of people killed by coronavirus complications to 1,198.
According to the current infection statistics on the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) website, 1,065 patients in the hospital. A total of 139 individuals need oxygen therapy.

The majority of new COVID-19 infections in Singapore are Protocol 2 cases, which are healthy people or have a slight illness.
6,618 new cases were reported on Sunday, including 6,521 local cases and 97 imported illnesses falling under Protocol 2.
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests verified another 1,241 cases, with 29 being imported illnesses.
The weekly infection growth rate was 0.71, which was somewhat higher than Saturday’s 0.70. A value less than one implies that the number of new COVID-19 cases decreases every week.
Since the outbreak began, Singapore has documented 1,015,017 COVID-19 cases.
As of Saturday, 95% of Singapore’s eligible population has finished the national vaccination program’s full vaccine regimen.
Vaccine booster doses have been administered to around 71% of the population.
