According to reports, the Election Commission has recommended “disqualification” even though it has found Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren guilty in the illegal mining case.
He must retire after an official statement from the Raj Bhavan, but he may run for office again in six months and remain Chief Minister, if the UPA lawmakers choose to pick him again as their leader.
Senior Jharkhand politician Saryu Roy has also said that the EC has deemed Mr. Soren unfit for the position of an MLA, according to his “very trustworthy sources.”

According to sources, the EC has determined that Mr. Soren should be disqualified for giving himself a government contract.
A grievance was made against Mr. Soren for giving himself a mining lease.
The sources added that Mr. Soren is not prohibited from running for office as the Governor is still reviewing the EC’s opinion on his disqualification.
According to reports, Mr. Soren is consulting constitutional specialists on the best course of action.
