Fans fear Haggar is dead after Street Fighter 6 tribute: In 2023, the next installment in the Street Fighter series will release. We’ll find out what our favorite combatants, Ryu and Chun-Li, have been up to — or not up to — soon enough.
The newest video from the game may imply that Mayor Mike Haggar is dead, as some eagle-eyed fans have noticed.
Shreeder4092, a Reddit member, brought this to our notice in a new post. Including an image from the most recent State of Play stream’s gaming showcase.
The image in question depicts the Mike Haggar Metro City Revitalization Memorial. Leading Shreeder4092 and other posters to assume the guy deceased. Alternatively, the mayor may have just honored with a monument for his efforts, but fans will disappoint if he does not appear in Street Fighter 6.
That’s not just because he’d be absent from the next game. But it’d also end my never-ending hope for him to be a playable Street Fighter character. Haggar is the only Final Fight character to appear in all three games, and although he is a fighter in the Marvel vs.
Capcom series, he has never appeared in a Street Fighter game. We’d want to see many more Street Fighter veterans in the game, but Haggar was never one of them. He’s not even on the roster that leaked.
Remember, this is only a rumor for now, and we haven’t heard anything official from Capcom about Haggar’s situation. But, at the very least, we know that the game will have the Ryu mentioned above and Chun-Li and Luke, and newcomer Jamie among the available characters.
Street Fighter 6 is set to arrive next year, although no precise date has set. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One X/S.
This is the first time in almost a decade that a new Street Fighter game will be available on Xbox.
