Special Air India Flight

Indians returned to Ukraine, and their family members expressed their joy and relief following an extraordinary Air India (AI) flight returned to India in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The majority of returning passengers included students studying medicine. Parents were waiting at the airport, waiting to welcome their loved children.

Rajesh Rana, the father of a medical student from Kharkiv National Medical University, told the news outlet, “We were trying to obtain tickets for a few days. My daughter finally was able to board the Air India plane.”

Rejoicing over the returning of his daughter, He said, “I was awake entire night and then finally relaxed upon hearing that she’d taken off on the plane.”

When the plane landed and the students boarded, many students were happy to return to India.

“It is a relief returning home. The preparations for Delhi airport were excellent,” said Sakshi, an undergraduate student.

Yash Dewansh Medical student told the media, “There is a panic situation in Ukraine. We’re all relieved.”

Another returning participant, Nirav Patel, said, “I feel very well. This is my country of birth.”

An Air India ferry flight had taken off on Monday to Ukraine to return Indians who wanted to go home.

Air India had already announced that it would operate three flights between Ukraine to India will operate for Indian citizens and students during the wartime situation in Ukraine.

A family from Amritsar expressed his joy over the return of his daughter, saying, “We are very happy that our daughter is returning to us. We were extremely nervous.”

“Many parents were worried about the present situation. It’s great to be returning to them,” said Muskan, another student.

Tensions grew following Russian Vladimir Putin. The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, ordered sending the Russian Armed Forces into Ukraine’s rebel regions after acknowledging that they are independent in his message to the Ukrainian nation on Monday.

In the meantime, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) was in session in response to a request by The United States and allies on Monday.

In protest at Russia’s decision to recognize the regions in Donetsk and Luhansk and Luhansk Donetsk and Luhansk, the Ukrainian ambassador to the United Nations demanded that Moscow restart negotiations and ensure an immediate response and comprehensive evacuation of the occupation troops.

India has emphasized the necessity for all parties to maintain the highest level of restraint and increase diplomatic efforts to reach a mutually agreeable solution.
