Between April 11 and 17, a group called Samyukta Kisan Morcha will be running a campaign called “MSP Legal Guarantee Week.”
This is the second phase of the campaign. The farmers’ group has also decided to organise a protest across the country on March 21 over the government’s role in the Lakhimpur Kheri accident.

All the groups that belong to the SKM met together in Delhi on Monday, and they decided unanimously that the group should keep its name.
“During this week, all of the groups that make up the SKM will hold dharnas, demonstrations, and seminars to demand that farmers get the minimum support price (C2+50%) recommended by the Swaminathan Commission on all of their agricultural produce.”
Many people at the meeting said that the police administration and the prosecutors are working together to protect the criminals and make the farmers look like they did something bad.
A surprise that the son of a government official got out so quickly while farmers arrested in the same case are still in jail.
SKM said that the Morcha would help the families of farmers who were arrested.
Even though it’s been three months since SKM got written promises from the Indian government, it says that the government still hasn’t done anything about them.
“There is no sign of the promise to set up a committee on MSP. Police cases against farmers in other states have not been dropped, except in Haryana. Delhi Police has said that some cases could be settled in part, but there is no concrete information about that. This meeting was held by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha’s coordination committee, a group of farmers’ groups in India.
People from Punjab and Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Bihar and Jharkhand, Assam and Tripura, Odisha and Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh came to this meeting.
