It is classified as a fire-type starter Pokemon that could eventually transform into Charmeleon at level 16. The first appearance of Charmander first appeared in Pokemon Red and blue.
Charmeleon at the level of 16. Charmander is among the most well-known Pokemon because of its distinctive appearance, which features a reddish-orange colouring with an underbelly of yellow. Additionally, it has an iconic flame on the tail’s tip.
Recently, one person took the initiative of drawing a picture inspired by this Pokemon.
In an article on Reddit, one of the users known as Josilix posted an image of artwork inspired by the Pokemon series.
Utilizing the coloured pencils, they set out to create a re-creation of a “near mint” Charmander card they had. The result of this experiment was breathtaking. In the photo shown, the Reddit user held the actual card in front of the design drawn on a piece of paper.
The artist not only succeeded in capturing the appearance of Charmander in stunning detail, but they also added the weathering to make the actual card appear to be in “near mint” condition.

It’s hard to imagine the talent required to draw this original drawing of the Charmander card. Based on Josilix’s account, they utilized pencils with Luminance to create the image. They also noted using hot-pressed paper for drawing on.
It is interesting to note that this is only one of several authentic artworks created by the creator. They have previously shared others to Reddit for those who wanted to look at more. For instance, they shared photos of a Fury Bowser of Super Mario 3D World, Bowser’s Fury, and even 3D-themed candy.
It’s not surprising that many users from the Pokemon community noticed the unique artwork after it was published on Reddit. With over 2,000 likes in just a few hours, Many amazed by the authenticity of the drawing.
“It seems like you could take it from the page. Amazing!” kiwishrew said on Reddit. Another user, Twisted_Prestzel85, said that shadows on areas of the card made it appear as if it were an object in 3D.
While this detailed depiction of the Charmander card is impressive but it’s not the only work created by the talented enthusiasts of the show. With more than 900 different types of Pokemon available, there is an abundance of species available when it comes to creating fan art.
It will be fascinating to witness what skilled gamers display designs during the next couple of weeks. For instance, one player made an Arceus origami that Pokemon Legends inspired: Arceus. Maybe Josilix may draw more realistic photos of the rare Pokemon cards.
