Juventus In Quarter-Final

Juventus got to the quarter-finals in the Italian Cup on Tuesday with an impressive 4-1

victory against the managerless Sampdoria.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side will face one of Sassuolo or Cagliari, which will play the other

side on Wednesday in the last eight following an uncharacteristic victory on the Allianz

Stadium in Turin.

They took the win by Juan Cuadrado’s early-half free-kick and a Daniele Rugani header six

minutes after the break.

In the middle of the second period, Paulo Dybala’s goal from close range was a penalty kick

in the 77th minute by Alvaro Morata.

Juve could have easily been able to win by more than a Samp team with a manager

Roberto D’Aversa was sacked on Monday following a shambolic streak of results that has

them amid the relegation zone of Serie A.

They missed a string of decent opportunities, and Morata also had a grand final that was

chalked off after the VAR’s review uncovered Adrien Rabiot’s mistake of Tomas Rincon.

But it was not until Dybala, who is currently engaged in a dispute with Juve over a contract

extension.

It scored another goal within just a couple of hours that this tie seemed safe after Andrea

Conti briefly had the hosts panic after scoring a second goal shortly after the hour mark.

Following Ciro Immobile, Lazio will take on AC Milan in the next round scored the only goal

in the extra-time victory against Udinese on the road in Rome.

Immobile, who is leading in the Serie A scoring charts with 17 goals, along with Dusan

Vlahovic, took the match within the game’s final minute when Immobile smashed into

Danilo Cataldi’s shot with a perfect lob.

Italy forward was crucial in a game that the hosts could have won in normal circumstances.

Raul Moro was not sloppy on the rebound after Sergej Mlinkovic-Savic’s goal in the 87th

minute save from Udinese goalie Marco Silvestre.

Inter Milan host Empoli at the San Siro on Wednesday while Roma takes on Serie B outfit

Lecce in Lecce in the Italian capital of the city on Thursday.
