K Sankaranarayanan, a veteran Congress leader, Dies at the Age of 89

K Sankaranarayanan, a longtime senior member of the Congress Party, died on Sunday at his home in Kerala’s Palakkad. He had been governor of several states over the years. He was 89 years old.

Since last year, he has been getting treatment for many different things. Sankaranarayanan had been governor of Maharashtra, Nagaland, and Jharkhand at one point in his life. As governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Goa, he also took care of those three states.

The senior Congressman was a four-term member of the state legislature. He had been in charge of finance, excise, and agriculture in different governments in Kerala.

In the days after his death, his body will be kept in the house where he lived and the Congress party office where he worked. People will be able to pay their respects to him there.

People from all walks of life, including Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Opposition Leader V D Satheesan, were saddened by his death.
