Manchester United’s £82 million summer signing Antony scored on his debut, and Marcus Rashford added two as Erik ten Hag’s side ruined Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the season at Old Trafford.
In the tense match, the Brazilian scored the game’s first goal 10 minutes before halftime by stroking a shot into the far corner.
After Bukayo Saka had equalized on the hour, Rashford took credit for the assist and later benefited from two superb United counterattacks.
Both goals came from Bruno Fernandes, who helped Rashford get past the Arsenal defense and then assisted the striker by assisting Christian Eriksen.
Rashford’s first double in the Premier League since December 2020 helped the team reach the fifth place.

Arsenal is still on top. Although the Gunners had a goal by Gabriel Martinelli disallowed by VAR in the first half, manager Mikel Arteta will be worried given how easy his team was opened up after a solid start to the season.
The opportunity to win the game was present, claimed Arteta. But, unfortunately, we weren’t ruthless enough in front of goal, and we lacked some discipline at times, which is why we didn’t win.
“We can win the game if we play with more extraordinary bravery. It is a valuable lesson to learn that you must perform flawlessly here if you want to prevail.
