Manchester City beats Atletico Madrid to reach the UEFA Champions League semi-final.

Manchester City played well to earn a tense 0-0 draw at Atletico Madrid on Wednesday and reach the Champions League semi-finals 1-0 on aggregate.

Atletico defender Felipe was sent off in the last 12 minutes because he got a second yellow card. The teams played another 12 minutes of added time.

As the teams left the field, there were fights between the players after Felipe was sent off for kicking Phil Foden. The police had to intervene to calm things down and keep everyone safe.

First, the English champions were comfortable. Ilkay Gundogan hit the post with their best chance after a flowing move down the right. For the rest of the game, they didn’t have another opportunity to try to get a goal.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of City, told Atletico to play more aggressively, so they tried their best to do that at the Metropolitano stadium, where a noisy crowd cheered them on.

They slowed the game down and ran out the clock for Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, and their fans, who didn’t like it.

After the break, the Spanish champions had more possession and looked like they would score the goal that would have sent the game into extra time, but they couldn’t break through the City defense even though they had a lot of good chances.

The goalkeeper for Manchester City, Ederson, made two important saves in extra time to help his team reach the last four. The city had only two chances to score after the break, while Atletico had 12.

“Our team gets a lot of flak when they play like City did today. See what people say today. “The captain told Movistar Plus of the ship, Koke.

“For the work, they’ve done, I don’t have anything to say about the team. It was a good game for the other team, but Atleti should have gotten more than they did.”

The City players said that they had not been at their best. Asked by reporters, “It was not our best game, that is for sure.”

“We were tired in the second half because of the calendar, we played a very intense game with Liverpool on the weekend, and we ran out of legs.”

City, trying to win Europe’s most prestigious club football trophy for the first time, will play Real Madrid in the semi-finals. Real Madrid has won the trophy a record 13 times.
