Manchester City spectacularly won the Premier League championship on Sunday, returning from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Aston Villa 3-2 with three goals in the closing 15 minutes.
Pep Guardiola’s side fought off Liverpool’s championship challenge by a point thanks to two goals from Ilkay Gundogan, who came off the bench.
Rodri also scored. The winners completed a spectacular comeback at the Etihad Stadium, reminiscent of the first of City’s now six league won in 11 seasons when Sergio Aguero struck a 93rd-minute winner to deny Manchester United the title on goal difference.

Both former Liverpool players, Matty Cash and Philippe Coutinho, scored goals to give the Reds the championship. Jurgen Klopp’s side performed their job by beating Wolves 3-1 at Anfield, but City’s heroics guaranteed Liverpool’s quest for a historic quadruple was over.
Gundogan began his return by heading in a cross from Raheem Sterling at the back post.
Rodri scored from the outside of the box, and Gundogan sealed the comeback by tapping in Kevin De Bruyne’s cross at the back post.
Guardiola said before the game that he did not want a replay of Sergio Aguero’s famous late goal from a decade ago.
Calatan, on the other hand, was the happiest man in Manchester after winning his 10th league championship in only 13 seasons as a coach.
At full-time, fans flocked to the ground to celebrate, and the crossbar at the goal where City scored all of their goals was shattered beneath the weight of fans seated on it.
