Minecraft will receive Buzz Lightyear DLC for the upcoming movie: Crossovers are nothing new in Minecraft. Minecraft Steve debuted as a DLC character in Super Smash Bros.
Ultimate, and now he’s making his way into Minecraft. So the whole journey of everyone’s favorite space ranger is now accessible.
This DLC was “inspired by the Disney and Pixar movie,” according to the release on the Minecraft site. The film itself, Lightyear, will release in cinemas on the same day as this article.
Mojang has produced a set of five missions to commemorate the film’s release to chronicle the narrative of Buzz’s origins. Throughout the tale, you’ll go through “a hazardous forest, a marsh, and a mine, as well as different alien communities.”

According to developer Mojang, you’ll also have to fly through space to reach each mission goal, evading debris. The official trailer below gives you a good idea of what to expect.
You’ll have to deal with aliens, robots, and other threats while employing movie-inspired technologies, and Emperor Zurg is likely to be a formidable opponent. You won’t just see him, but you’ll also see other characters from the movie.
Buzz, Sox the cat, Mo Morrison, and Izzy and Alisha Hawthorne are all seen in screenshots. The DLC also contains a Lightyear-themed item for the game’s general character creation, missions, and character appearances.
The Lightyear x Minecraft DLC is now available on the Minecraft Marketplace for 1,340 Minecraft Coins. However, it’s worth noting that it’s not available for the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft.
However, it will be introduced to that version of the game “soon,” according to Mojang.
This isn’t the first time Minecraft has appeared in a film. The game’s Ice Age DLC is presently free to download, but only until July 31.
It has a new overworld, ancient creatures, and skins based on Manny, Diego, Sid, and Scrat from the movies.
