Dr. Vishal Parmar, a consultant and a pediatrician at Wockhardt Hospitals, recently spoke with the Hindustan Times about some precautions individuals can take to avoid falling ill this time of year.
“Make sure your water is safe to drink” (use boiled water, especially for infants below one year). Also, steer clear of raw foods like chutneys, salads, fresh juices, and water from the outside.
Before eating, thoroughly wash all produce, he said. “Wash your hands and feet properly after having walked out,” the health expert advised people to take additional precautions with their cleanliness. For example, always keep your nails clean and clipped.
