BJP can save Punjab

At a rally for the public in Jalandhar, Premier Narendra Modi announced the campaign slogan “Nava Punjab, BJP de naal,” which translates to “New Punjab with BJP.”

Modi said that the people from Punjab have decided to change their minds and are likely to choose the NDA alliance in this region.

“New development chapters will begin in Punjab if the BJP-led coalition becomes the government,” PM said.

Making fun of Congress, PM Modi stated: “Can those who are fighting with each other give an orderly government.”

PM Modi also said that he could not visit the renowned Devi Talab Mandir because the police could not come up with a security plan.

“Look at the state of the state government here. I wanted to go to the temple. However, they (police) have said they cannot create security arrangements,” PM Narendra Modi stated.

Congress is the current government in the state.

Assembly elections for 117 seats in the assembly in Punjab will take place on the 20th of February.

When the 2017 Assembly elections in Kerala, the Congress achieved an absolute majority getting 77 seats, and then removed the SAD-BJP-led government, which was in power for a decade.

On the 5th of January, there was a flaw in the security of the Prime Minister after he was trapped on the flyover for around 15 minutes on his route for Ferozpur, Punjab, due to the roadway being blocked by protesters.
