Blues manager Thomas Tuchel thinks his new signing is “invited to show a point” after joining Barcelona on transfer deadline day for £10.3 million.

Due to the jaw injuries he sustained during a brutal burglary at his house last week, Aubameyang will have to play with a mask.

He only saw eight minutes of action this year for Barcelona.

The 33-year-old Gabonese attacker “needs minutes to regain his full fitness and rhythm,” according to Tuchel, and must be “managed.”

He cannot play for 90 minutes; therefore, it is up to us to figure out whether he starts or sits on the bench.

Aubameyang, a former striker for Arsenal, has worn a character mask before to celebrate strikes.

When asked whether Aubameyang was suitable to wear a mask and play the “superhero,” Tuchel replied: “Don’t put any more thoughts into his brain, please.

“He may rejoice when he scores, but he must first score. He is very focused and ambitious. He is eager to perform for us and make a statement.

“That’s why he’s here, and that’s what we’ve sensed right away,”

Denis Zakaria, another recent addition, has arrived in Croatia, according to Tuchel, but veteran defender Thiago Silva, 37, has stayed in London to manage his workload.

After playing every minute in tough matches, “we agreed with Thiago he would take a vacation from the traveling and the stress,” he stated.

It was time to give him a rest rather than bench him and deal with the travel hassles so he could focus on his recovery.

Then, including Denis, we had the chance to take everyone who was available and in training.
